Breaking Dawn....spoilers ahead!!!

So I finished the book last night around 1am and I totally loved it! For those that haven't finished the book yet, you might not want to read any further until you've finished...

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

These are just my opinions so dont get mad if you disagree. :) It's all good!

First of all, I did not see it coming that Bella would get pregnant. I mean, I knew her dreams would lead to something about a child, but that was a shocker for me! It was neat that she had a girl instead of the little boy she dreamed about. It kind-of made me think of myself when I thought for sure that I was having another boy and turns out we had a girl so I could relate to Bella's feelings at that moment. :)

I also liked how Bella and Rosalie became friends. I liked how Rose was her "bodyguard" and protected Bella's want and need to have the baby. Go Rosalie!

I really loved Jacob's book. I don't consider myself a Jacob fan but I have to say, I felt for the guy! Having to lose the one you love and then coming back to her to protect her because he still loved her, well that's devotion. I actually was kinda mad at Bella for wanting Jacob around so much. I mean, she broke the guy's heart by marrying Edward now, can you just leave him alone and quit torturing him? Talk about chewing him up and spitting him out!

And Jacob imprinting on Renesmee...I'm glad that he is happy and will be able to be with her for the rest of their lives, but imprinting on a baby? I know Stephanie Meyer did that in Eclipse (or was it New Moon?) with Jacob's friend, but is that still just a little creepy to anyone else? Imprinting on a baby??? And yes, I know Renesmee grows quickly and will be mature in a few years, but really??

Even though I'm not a big fan of Bella, I like that she had the most powerful gift of all. How she could shield her family from the dangers of the Volturi's guards...well I thought she was pretty cool stuff.

I didnt like how it ended so quickly. As I was reading the 38th chapter, I thought, there's no way she (Stephanie Meyer) can sum it all up in just one more chapter. Plus, I actually wanted to see Bella fight the Volturi! It was all building and building with more tension and I was actually disappointed that they didnt fight. Instead the Volturi running off like cowards...that was kinda lame...in  my opinion. Also, the whole J. Jenks thing was a bit off for me too. I thought it was going to be some huge insight, some major clue that Alice gave Bella, instead it was just to get illegal paperwork for Nessie and Jacob? I get it, I do, in case the vampires were obliterated, Jacob and Nessie would have to leave the country, but for the excitement building about this special clue that Alice gave to Bella, in such a secret way, well, it just didnt have the shock value that I would have hoped for. All in all, I still love the book. These are just a few little quirks that I needed to vent about.

Anyhow, I'm sad the whole thing is over. I LOVED loved L-O-V-E-D these books. I liked escaping to this magical world of fantasy, romance and suspense. Kudos to Stephanie Meyer for all her magnificent writing ability. 2 big thumbs up!

So funny, I have almost the same reservations about the book too. The whole building up the climax and then.....lame! They just run off?!?! And how cool that Bella could have been so powerful in an actual attack, but her shield wasn't really that necessary! It makes you think there HAS to be another book, but no, it's OVER! I also like Jacob's book, it was cool to hear his perspective :) There's more to talk about later :)

I agreed with a lot of what you said as well! I actually could stomach Bella in this book--she wasn't so pitiful. She got some powers and such. I think it a great contrast and maybe Stephenie Meyer was just trying to show how Bella really belonged more as a vampire. I sort of saw the creepy imprinting this coming and Porter and I just kept laughing about it. I thought it was pretty clever. It had to go that way. Anyway...I too am depressed that it's over and there's nothing more to look forward to. Have you read The Host? I liked it more than the Twilight series. There are some things that are a little confusing in the beginning, but it's sort of supposed to be that way. Seriously, though, it was really GOOD!

Amen sister! Well said! I agree with 100% of what you thought about it! I am soooo sad it's over too! Hopefully S.Myers will miss it and write another one! Did you hear how the movie will be out 3 weeks early on Nov.21!!!!! Fun, fun!

I'm with you Kari - almost everything you wrote I agreed with whole-heartedly! I was also SHOCKED that Bella was pregnant (even when she was sick I kept thinking It's too soon - she can't be pregnant). I also loved the Jacob chapters - especially the titles for each chapter - they cracked me up. I did not see the Jacob imprinting thing though - I actually thought at first that he was going to imprint on Leah then I thought he was somehow going to imprint with Rosalie - never saw the imprinting on Renesmee!
All in all I really enjoyed it and I'm so sad it's over!

I agree with EVERYTHING you said! I was SO sad that there wasn't a fight with the Volturi! That would have been the most INCREDIBLE fight ever with all of those coll powers and gifts. The J, Jenks thing...said perfectly. Stephenie Meyers left it open at the end...maybe one more? Maybe a new series with Renesmee and Jacob? I would prefer Bella and Edward but I'll take what I can get!:P

It is funny how many Bella haters there are out there, until this book?!

Yeah, it's a little weird that he imprinted on a baby, but it talked about it in the book how the feelings weren't romantic as she was a baby. I loved that they didn't have to fight. I was having a hard time breathing as it was, so I may have had a heart attack had they actually fought! I wish it wouldn't lasted a little longer so we could get to know Renesmee better and see her grow....maybe another book? I'm thinking there will be b/c it mentions that the Volturi aren't going to let this fued die. Hopefully there is more to come! :-) Glad you liked it too.
