My baby's in preschool

Our little girl started preschool about 2 weeks ago and she is loving every minute! She's a bit young to start but my dear friend that I've had since I was 15 is the teacher and she does such a fabulous job with her!

Breezy goes with her cousin and has such a great time. She really enjoys learning, has lots of fun playing with the baby dolls at school, playing with friends and being "big" just like her brothers. She asks for her "backkack" (backpack) and "wader ball" (water bottle) every time she goes. What a cutie!

Her first day:

Yesterday I was going through a bunch of papers for our taxes and happened to stumble upon the receipt from the ER hospital the night that Bree was diagnosed with cancer. A wave of emotions came over me as I remembered that awful night.

A moment later I was overcome with a feeling of complete peace that she is okay now. I know this may sound silly, but there really isn't a day that goes by that I don't look at her with complete thankfulness that we have her, that her body is completely healed and that we get to enjoy her everyday. We love our little Breezy.

I'm thankful for those moments that I can remember what we went through with her and be reminded how special she is on a daily basis. Cherish the everyday!

Oh she is so sweet. It's a huge step for them and I'm glad that she is enjoying it. My grandaughter started school for the first time this week and I must admit that I did cry a little.

I remember when you first posted about Bree and her illness Kari, and the photo of you will always stick in my mind as I don't think I ever saw pain and fear in anybody's eyes like there was in yours sweetie. A very happy ending for you all and I can see why you count your blessings every time you look at your precious girl. And she is just gorgeous xxx

Preschool? Wow! I think that is awesome. There are days that I wish I could have my 2 year old go - she would love it and so would I. Lucky you to have a great friend as the teacher - that makes the transition that much easier.
What a cute girl you have!

Nothing more to add than what your first three friends said, other than "Amen!"

It is just amazing that you can still live "in" that emotion, no matter when or where you are. Tears in seconds. You are amazing. I maybe said that already! :) Oh, 100 times. But you are. I hope that there are less and less of moments like that. She is such a sweetie!

I can't believe she's in preschool! She's such a sweetie. You have such a good perspective on things with all you've been through. I'm grateful for the feelings you share and how it helps me feel things I often keep buried, but need to reach once in a while. (We had Annika signed up for preschool. . .)
